The greatest piece of career advice I ever received came from my mother. When I was young she said “do not simply do what you love. Do what you are most skilled at, and passion will follow.” This made the rather complicated process of choosing a career path seemingly easy given that I had already developed a sense of self through my family and sports. Being challenged by two older brothers and having a passion in playing competitive soccer, I was made aware of my weaknesses at a young age. I found quantitative work and communicating well in social environments to be my strong suits, yet I knew these interests were typically distinct. It wasn’t until my first internship at the Union Bank of Switzerland that I realized a career in investment planning would undoubtedly marry these two worlds.

During this internship, as I performed internal research on securities and economics while separately communicating with clients in an administrative capacity, a light bulb went off. I knew it was what I wanted to pursue, and I was determined to declare an emphasis in business finance and find a position that offered growth. In June 2019 I joined Westlake Private Wealth Management and was welcomed into a family-like atmosphere and a team with extensive knowledge in the financial industry. Since joining this practice I have graduated from California Lutheran University and have obtained my FINRA Series 7, 66 registrations, life insurance licensed.

When I am not working or studying, I enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. I golf with my two older brothers and my father weekly while also surfing regularly with friends. I attribute my drive for exercise and competition to my soccer experience growing up as well as my lifelong involvement in extreme sports. I am thankful to have grown up on a lake wakeboarding in the summers and in the mountains snowboarding in the winters. My passion for sports constantly teaches me lessons that I have incorporated into my professional life.
